Xbox One controller has no rumble.
Can someone help me out? I have the Xbox controller plugged in (not via Bluetooth), and in game the rumble does not work.

I've tried two controller testing software via the Microsoft store, and the rumble works in both, so I'm not sure why every game I've tried doesn't have rumble working.

if Steam has xbox controller support enabled, then Steam intercepts the controller and applies own settings. you either have to configure it via Steam correctly or disable xbox controller support in Steam settings

also not every game makes use of the vibration functions of a controller or has it disabled in some game settings by default.

I tried games such as Cuphead, The Witcher 3 and Ori and the Blind Forest. I was almost certain they had rumble suport.
How would I go about disabling the xbox controller support, but still use the controler itself?

in steam settings -> controller -> general ...

steam intercepts it to make it possible to use the controller on every game, even without having controller support.
if a game has native controller support, via disabling controller support in Steam, the controller will most likely work how the gamedev intended it to work, at least that is my experience.

Didn't work for me. I've disabled all configuration support and still no rumble. Maybe the issue is with my controller. I'm using PowerA Enhanced Wired controller for Xbox One.

Same here. turning off Steam Input just means my controller stops working entirely. Connected with a DS5 and official licensed cable
