Compatible PSU?
Would my alienware x51 r1 be compatible with a EVGA 600 B1 psu?
Cause my current 330w psu hasn't been getting the job done ever since I bought my gtx 970 ftw

After doing some research, it appears the Alienware x51 uses an external power supply. Using a standard internal power supply won't be possible without considerable modifications to the computer.

So basically, unless I do some serious modifications to my pc I'm stuck with this external 330 watt?
Cause I tried to find I higher wattage external adapter but I could not find one
Basically, yes. The highest wattage PSU supported by the Alienware x51 is the PSU you already have.
Pretty much why it sux to buy a prebuild, especially the overpriced Alienware. GTX 970 has recommended PSU 500W at least.

Yeah my parents got a good deal on it years back and at the time it was great but now this ♥♥♥♥ sucks cause there is no room for growth.
Probably gonna have to wind up building a new rig from the ground up
why dont you ask alienware what your options are? support is one of the things you pay for for buying pre-built.
