Idle games when you are asleep, at work and/or at school?
Just leave them running or let a third party program leave them running (so they hog less system resources). Then the hours will stack up. You can even run more than one at a time so the hours go up faster.

Altho i dunno why you'd wanna do this. Hehhe.

1. Launch the game.
2. Don't play it.
3. Stare at the screen.
4. Repeat as necessary.

I know, this is basically the easiest method xd but i can't leave my computer on while i'm away, so i was wondering if there was anything that could increase my hours fast.
I don't know, it looks cool xd and if you have many hours on a game you look savage
People often do this for trading cards, but like anything else, use it at your own risk.

There is no faster way than actually playing or idling the game.
Unless you can time travel, you're out of luck
I never recommend people to idle games though as you're technically just putting wear & tear on your system & reducing its life span for no real reason.

Bruh I thought this was recent
If your game isn't old and has achievements, you can use "steam achievement manager" and open the game in is and not touching the lock or unlock button of your game's achievements, and steam thinks you opened the game. And you can have it open as long as you want without actually opening the game.

Alternatively, if your game doesn't have achievements, you can just run it and suspend the process, I guess. Not sure why OP wants to even do this, though.

Erm, no you don't.

Sorry to break it to you, but nobody actually cares. You might get the odd person who thinks like you and has a nose at your account and says, wow you play a lot.

But most likely nobody will even look, including yourself after the first time you do it.

Also, many people will know this can easily be faked and put no store in it anyway.

I mean it's up to you, but just understand it ain't what you think it is.

It could become weird, if you have to ask questions about the game in question.

Imagine someone who has 3000 hours in a game and asks how to change the current quest or if harvesting a fruit with a certain tool would give more resources.

Nobody thinks twice if you show your normal game hours and ask a question. But IF you fake your hours and ask a question or can't answer one, you'd look pretty stupid, right?

Great point.

That's the kicker here. Thos who ARE concerned with looking at data more ain't just going to be people who look at numbers and think "cool". They're going to be people checking stuff for legitimacy too.

Do as you say in a game, and people will likely suspect you've hijacked the account.

So not a great idea, and rightly put.
Why on earth you want to do this?
