Flagged for fraudulent activities and my accounts restricted.

Steam support seems to take hours to days to reply while the forums are near instant so I thought I'd ask here as well.

My account just got flagged for fraudulent activities, I have no idea why, the money I spent on this account has been refunded to my paypal, but the items I bought are still in my account does anyone have any idea why this happened?

Only support can answer this. Wait for them to reply. These issues take longer to reply to.

No I only added £4 on paypal once to buy an operating hydra pass for csgo, several days later steam not me refunded the money to my paypal account and suspended my account I never requested the refund.

They don't refund to paypal, they refund to your wallet. If you then did a chargeback to get that money back, that's why your account's restricted.

I suggest contacting Paypal. They have been known to issue a chargeback with out the account holder's consent.

Remember, Paypal is not a bank and not subject to the same laws and/or regulations as banks are.

I'm sorry and I'm not trying to be rude but you are wrong, they do refund to paypal, and this is what they did to me I did not do a charge back.

Thanks, however I'm not sure if this is it, steam sent me an email saying you have been refunded for adding wallet funds.

A refund wouldn't cause an account restriction for fraudulence. A chargeback is well known to cause such a restriction.

While you're waiting for Support to get back to you, try reaching out to Paypal and see what they say. If it is a chargeback, you'll need to get Paypal to undo the chargeback.

I never got a email from them saying about restricting my account but when I logged into steam all my trades had been cancelled and in the top right, all in red there is you have an account alert saying:

This account appears to have been used for fraudulent activity.
Steam Support has flagged your account as potentially having been used for fraudulent activities. Please contact Steam Support so that we can assist you.

This account will have restricted functionality until this issue is resolved.
Purchasing, gifting, trading, buying and selling items on the Community Market, and cd-key activation have been disabled.
