Game not available in your country, even though it is

Just bought a Region-Free game from HRK, Killer is Dead Nightmare Edition. Now when i try to enter the Code it say that the game isn't Available in my Country. (I'm from Germany).

The Support from HRK suggested me to use VPN. I won't do it now, due to the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

Since i can't contact Steam for this with its Support i'll try it here.

I am able to buy the game via Steam. So its strange.


I'll wait for further support from HRK but maybe some of you have a suggestion.

they gave you a key that is a regional subscription on Steam that cannot be activated in germany.

only this subscription will activate in germany and that is what the steam store displays to you.

there is a NA+ROW subscription but that does not activate in germany(along with a bunch of other countries) and they probably sold you that.

You bought a region-restricted key. Did HRK recommend you to use a Russian VPN, by any chance?
If i were you, I would issue a refund request with HRK and if they don't comply, chargeback.

Well, they are openly lying to you. The product obviously isn't global and if this place was serious, they'd have a "Won't activate in Germany" warning. Further, if the place was serious, they wouldn't advise you to break Steam rules.

We've established that you fell for a scam vendor. But, Gove them a chance. Tell them that you're in Germany, that you don't want to break Steam rules and that you want your money back. If they don't comply, chargeback.
