Refund/regift a game activated by code (humble bundle)

My friend wants this game and I didn't know that prior activating on Steam. Humble Bundle gave me a code, can I either refund or regift it? I have not even installed/played it and it's been only few hrs since I activated.

Depends on their refund policy. Talk to them. You can't remove it from the library nor regift it though.

You bought it from Humble Bundle and they are not straight from steam so basically you're out of luck but submit a ticket.

Once you reveal/activate the key, it may not be refundable.

the only place where you can request a refund for anything is the place where you bought it, so in your case humble.
for the next time, humble has an own gift function. either you use that or you give the key directly to someone else. keys NEVER turn in to steam gifts.

If you activated the key on Steam already you cannot transfer it in any way

Since this is the #1 result on google for "steam refund key if already activated", if you buy from Humble, they WILL OCCASIONALLY refund you the cost. I recently bought HITMAN 2, but it kept crashing. This isn't something that could have been detected before revealing / redeeming the key, but I reported it the day after and they refunded me in full.
