Could also be a simple contact error of the RAM not sitting right in the slot. Maybe remove them and put them in again, making sure that its fits tightly.
Had similar issue once; had faulty memory. If you have two sticks of ram, either one isn't in the right place/seated correctly and/or has fried.
Yes I did, here a screenshot

Thanks for the info but it is possible I can open my video cam and show my pc? I extremely do not wan't to ♥♥♥♥ this up and get this to a worse position.
If you are not comfortable opening the PC and dealing with the RAM, I would suggest taking it to a computer shop or asking a friend who has experiance with working in a PC for help.
2.Use msconfig command , tab Boot, advanced options and uncheck max memory
If the computer is old, your ram is most likely toast.
If its new, try reseating it (its super easy, there are little clips on the side you pull outwards, then pull the card straight out, clean with air, then put the card back in until the little clips pop back inwards. The cars have notches so you cant really put it in wrong. If you have more then 2 slots you can try putting the ram stick in another slot aswell) if this doesnt work your ram stick is toast
I have a couple of old laptops that originally had 2 x 512 MB and in each I had replaced one of those with 2 GB bringing each up to 2.5 GB. One of the laptops will not turn on now, so I put both 2 GB sticks in the other laptop. Its BIOS from 2007 recognized that 4 GB was installed, but 3.3 GB usable. And sure enough, when I installed 64-bit Linux on it, that can only use the 3.3 GB.
And my desktop from 2010 will not work with RAM larger than 4 GB each (4 x 4 GB = 16 GB). That is why I asked if it is one stick or two. BIOS or other things may recognize 8 GB installed, but the chipset might only work up to 4 GB each.
If i sent you a picture of my pc, can you mark it for me what the ram stick is?
I get VERY VERY often blue screen or my pc just freezes with earrape via my headset.
Here is a video of my pc and a pic of the blue screen

I have some important work files on my pc
how to install RAM: http://www.wikihow.com/Add-RAM
remove RAM:
4. Remove existing RAM (if necessary). If you are replacing RAM, pop out the old modules by pressing down on the latches on each end of the module. The RAM module should pop out of the slot, allowing you to lift it directly out.
