Play your games while updating it in steam!
Works with most offline games.

DISCLAIMER: this method is only effective with LARGE updates and slow internet.

Step 1: go to your geme's local files which can be found by: going to your library on steam right clicking the game title going to properties then going to the local files tab. Then click "browse local files".

Step 2: Go up one folder then copy the game Folder.

Step 3: paste the game folder in your desktop (can be pasted anywhere other than your steam folder).

Step 4: open the game folder that you have just pasted in your desktop.

Step 5: run the game using the .exe file found in your newly pasted folder.

Step 6: update your game in steam.

Please +rep me if this helped you

you just check this button and there is always a reason that an update for a game is available for a game you want to play. so you update it before you play it. everything else messes with gamesaves and can break crap, especially for offline games.

This is just a method to play an updating game. Also this is a method to play and update THE SAME game and not play another game while you update a different one.
