My throwaway account gets more booster packs than my main

This is my second account. I use it to farm cards and weapons on TF2. Most of the games on this account I got for free. The only games I paid for were the Orange Box. I just got another booster pack on this account. I can't even remember the last time I got a booster pack on my main (which is a level 26 and where I've spent hundreds of dollars). Coincidence? Probably. Still, that's pretty scummy.

Scummy? They didn't make booster packs as a thing you are owed. It's there to keep the card economy going if people craft too many cards and no one buys the games.

They are also very rare so don't expect that they drop ever and you will never be disappointed.

Your main only has slightly better odds than your alt by level but you probably have games that are on the alt that have more badges made for them. Those freebie or dirt cheap card games tend to get lots of booster packs. I've lost count of how many booster packs I've gotten from my cheapos in the past 3 years. I've gotten at least 4 now in the past month...

it does not matter how you got the game and how much money you spent.
what matters for booster drops is your level and the number of eligable games. the level also defines a cooldown, and at below 50 is more then a week.

level 10 or 20 is like irrelevant in a pool of sharks.

Below 50 ....so I should be getting them if I am above ? 3 myself in 5 years so I agree with OP .... the drop rate is a joke .

Below 50 ....so I should be getting them if I am above ? 3 myself in 5 years so I agree with OP .... the drop rate is a joke .

This isn't diablo 3, they can't just turn the drop rate up to please you.
The drops exist because cards can be crafted and disappear from the system and the number of card drops are limited by how many people own the game.

So you don't have a clue either . Good to know . By the statements here they should drop occasionally and as I stated earlier , 3 drops in 5 years is a joke .
