Officers in Steam Groups have Yellow I believe.
I don't recall Blue and purple being part of names unless it's in a game.
He probably saw users with the now fixed yellow-steam-hack avatar, name. I've never seen purple, other than on my end messing around client side by changing the color in the HTML css.
Is it against the rules for us to change the couler of our names ?

the video is from a dumb call of duty kid and that works only in call of duty since it picks up the steam profile name and the game engine interpretes "^<number>" as a color, on Steam your name will look like crap.
