400 Mbps speedtest, 2.5 MBps download speed. WTF?
I've tried changing servers, and I've checked the limit in options to no avail. I couldn't find anyone having the same issue besides people who can't tell a bit from a byte. If someone has a solution to my problem, please share it with me.

Also , ISP's regularly precache those speedtests on their servers so the results are not actually typical.

MegaByte and Megabit are two different things. If the B is capitalized or not actually makes a difference.

400Mbps/8 = 50MB/s. So yes, there is a problem.

Bruh... 400/8 = 50, 50 ≠ 2.5. What's your point?

This may have something to do with it but the sheer difference between the speedtest and speeds I have gotten on torrent downloads seems strange to me. Still, thank you for your reply.

400Mbps looks like way too much. What's the official speed of your ISP tariff?

I mean, what's written in your ISP tariff plan? What's the speed you pay for?

No, that's the result of the test, it may be wildly different from the number written in your ISP plan.

are you in disbelieve that such endconsumer connections exist or what?

that is pretty normal for sweden.

It shows http://beta.speedtest.net/result/5954822539 almost 100Mbps for me, while I pay for 28Mbps. I strongly suspect that as Start_Running already said, these test files are precached by ISPs.

Also note that a lot of ISPs 'fake' speedtest results by ultra prioritizing that traffic. When in reality you can never get those speeds without said prioritization.

I would correlate data from fast.com to see if you can actally get the reported speeds

Actually, I got a weird result because I didn't manually choose test server, so it automatically used nearest one. Try to set some foreign host for a more realistic result.
(that's my result for a foreign host http://beta.speedtest.net/result/5954848041)
