Anything else that makes me so ****** while being the only one on my network is always downloading in KBs even tho my wifi is 450 mags a secound gotta love it like i changed servers 3 times still download in KBs i get 450 Mags a secound and the only Laptop on my nework i dont have a console or a Phone just my Laptop thats it anyone else have the same problem its not my wifi that im thinking its the dam servers thats steam has ive went from Seatlle <-- Closest Denver than Cali nothing works im tired of it any options that can help

The max speed of your wifi won't improve your download speed. Your download speed is always going to be limited to the weakest link in the chain. So even if your Wifi can deal with 450 MB/s, unless it actually gets that it doesn't make a difference. Next time you're getting those low speeds, pause the download and run a speed test here: http://www.speedtest.net/



This will tell you if the problem is with your ISP.

Yea i have Comcast Xfinity X1 Wifi they said my download speed is suppost to get over 50+ a Sec and al but i heard they do data caps as well that could be that too

Never troubleshoot download issues with Steam using a wireless connection or hardware.

First, bypass all Wireless connections and hardware (routers) and use ethernet only directly to the modem. Then, go from there if necessary.

No 25-50 Mega Bits a Secound MB and im Connected though a Black Ethernet Cable 25-50FT Long i dont remember how long it is

Sorry, as you mentioned router here in this post.

Post the exact model and model number of this computer. If custom built, post the exact motherboard instead.

Post the operating system.

Post ALSO if the OS is 32 or 64 bit.

My Laptop Just Had a Fresh Windows 7 x64 Bit Install I didnt custom build this i Bought it Pre made its a HP Pavilion G6 It used to have 6GBs of ram CPU but i upgraded it to 8GBs CPU and my Laptop is a x64 Bit

This means the status of all of your device drivers is in question. So let's confirm you have them all installed and fully up to date, especially since you said it is a fresh OS install.

That does not show us what we need. Since you apparently are not sure how to identify it, then that makes the status of the drivers even more suspect, perhaps.

Yes I see you said that, but that means your device drivers are in question as being properly up to date and from the right source.

Again, post the model number or a link to this laptop from HP, please.
