You have to access your GameUserSettings.INI file and type this in (you need to add this command yourself since it isnt added yet)

ShowFloatingDamageText=true
VERY IMPORTANT!! that you place this command under the [ServerSettings] part

Are you editing the correct file?

Steam > steamapps > common > ARK > ShooterGame > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor > gameusersettings.ini

ie: Singleplayer Location
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

ie: Dedicated Server Location
...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer

Hey ShuffleJ, if there is no [ServerSettings] section in your GameUserSettings.ini,
than just add it in as show below, copy and paste the below into it and save.

[ServerSettings]
ShowFloatingDamageText=True

Just adding that enabling this shows other players when a player is nearby as they see the text too. Meaning they can sneak attack you. Sucks that it gives unfair advantages.

I recommend searching on google as there are already tutorials on how to enable this along with other settings.

Not quite sure how your GameUserSettings.ini file doesn't have this in it at the top: [ServerSettings]

But if it doesn't have it then add [ServerSettings] to it then put the code directly underneath it.
