HELP: Can I use the same e-mail address to make a new account after I delete the current one?
I've had this account for nearly 4 years but the problem is that I made it when I was pretty young and the account name is both silly and incorectly formated meaning that everytime I must enter the name it is very annoying and many times I get it wrong. The account contains mostly free games, paid games that I got for free during promotions and at most 3 or 4 paid games. I spent on every game less than 25 hours so I won't lose a lot of progress (many are multiplayer) nor money.

My question is as stated above: If I delete this account can I make a new one on the same e-mail adress?
May you forgive me if this topic has been brought up before.

Yep, it shouldn't be a problem.

You don't even need to delete the current account. Just make the new one!

Yeah but I don't really like the idea of having multiple accounts. Plus I don't want to use another email address as as far as I know I can't have 2 account on the same email address.

You can have multiple steam accounts using the same email address. This will not cause steam to freak out.

As far as deleting your old account, you actually can't. You can stop using it and you can edit your profile information to whatever you want but there is no cancel or delete account feature. Support will tell you the same thing.

You can terminate it though.

Do you mean by getting it banned? Not recommended, otherwise how?

I thought you can request account deletions through Steam Support.

Terminate Steam account:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4650-SDKC-0716

In general it is a deletion of the account, just that all data is maintained because of licensing. The account is just no longer accessible anymore.

This is now possible since a year and since end of last year it is documented in the knowledge base.

Ah, thanks. I didn't know that. Still "just make a new account" and whitewash the old one if you must is still generally better advice, especially if you have games registered to the old account which could be shared with your new account.

You can have hundreds of Steam accounts with one email address.
Guys I know I’m a little late to the discussion, (6 years too late), but can I delete one of my steam accounts without deleting data from my other accounts?
