How to change "Steam Drvie" from C: to D:

I want to move my steam folder from C: Drive to D: Drive on windows 10.
How do I accomplish this without installing / reinstalling everything?

Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Steam library folders -> Add library folder.

Once you create the new library on your D: drive, just copy the entire Steamapps folder from C: to D:

Just move the whole Steam folder. That's better than fiddling with library folders.

About to do this, as my C drive is full (512GB SSD) my question I haven't seen addressed here or in general web searches, is: As my Win10 OS is 64 bit, my steam folders are in the 32BIT Program Files 86 folder..... does this matter?

No it don't. As it will be D:steam\steamapps when you make a new directory through steam.

Yes, although you may need to tell it to look in the new folder if it can't find it. At which point it will recognize the files and verify them. At which point you should be good to go. It's all pretty painless.

if you dont have many games, use the move function for each game in righclick -> properties -> local files -> move install folder.

if you copy manually, completely exist Steam first.
