Crafting your own couriers

Have afew questions if my fellow forum-mates can help clarify things it'd be great.

Baby Roshan with divine essence

1) If I insert an ethereal gem(divine essence) into a baby roshan, does the effect look exactly the same as if I unboxed it from the chest?

2)Is the "unusual" tag the only difference between the 2 baby rosh?

If the answer to 1 and 2 is yes, crafting it would be a way viable choice of getting a baby roshan with divine essence ?

You can only change a certain effect if the courier is already unusual
If the baby roshan is a regular courier without any effect you cannot add effect
in order to add effect you need a tool called a "brand" which for now no where to be found or exist, you cant buy it or craft for no 1 have it yet.

if you get an unusual baby roshan you can change its effect but take notice that the gems will be eliminated and only the new ones will stay.

You cannot insert ethereal gems into general sockets.

Another retarded question from me, please bear with me
If I have a roshan with "empty socket" will I be able to insert the DE in it ? Lets say someone is selling a rosh with an empty socket.
Or will it apply like how "Zed" said, I won't be able to insert the DE into general sockets.(which means the rosh must be unusual)

Because I think I've seen people selling baby rosh with empty socket for around 5 keys, DE gem costs around 7, totalling up to around 12 keys only, an unusual rosh costs me around 28-30 keys, so I thought of crafting it.

First of all ask away and dont feel bad about it, thats why this forums exist.

There is a difference between empty sockets "general sockets" to the unusual ones.
any courier unusual or not can contain 5 general sockets - like the rosh with empty socket ur talking about.
This can be fill with inscribed gems(counters) like gold or wards or kill counts.
Unusual sockets are different and placed between those "general sockets" only this "unusual" sockets can contain effects like De and other effects.

The rosh with the emepty socket you mentiond can be filled with inscribed gems only and not DE or any other effect.

For now the only way you can change an effect on a courier is only if the certain courier already have a certain effect gem.

For now the only way you can make a unusual rosh with DE is buy/trade and get an unusual rosh with the the most trash effect(the cheapest) and simply drag and drop the DE gem on the current effect gem it already have.

Those rosh with empty socket are for normal gems only.
