Friend Requests After Putting Something On the Market
I'm not sure why, but a lot of the time after putting something on the marketplace, I get a few friend requests. Most of the players I'm getting the messages from are levels 0-1. I feel like it might be part of some scam, but that's just me being skeptical. Anyone know why?

Yep, because they're almost invariably scammers who want you to add them so they can offer you a too good to be true "deal" on your item. Sometimes you get a legitimate person who wants to know if they can trade instead. But, IMO, not worth it.

Cool, cool. I look at the profiels and they're private. Figured something was up after that.

Yeah. Best thing to do is not follow any links users send and trade only through the market or trade offers with people you know.

As much as that is the highest possibility there is also a chance that they just want to trade it from you undercutting Valve's Tax.

If everyone used their head like you did, Steam wouldn't have such a scamming epidemic.
I feel like this was sarcastic... Lol.

No, I'm pretty sure it was a compliment. Or, at the very least, a sigh of relief that someone else who knows how to use their brain is posting. :D Seriouly, stick around a while, you'll understand after about the dozenth post (in a few hours sometimes) what Kablam0 was saying. :D

Bots always like expensive stuff like knives.
Doesn't matter what your profile private or not, they still target.
So only way to pervent em is deny and report, and be careful.
