Steam....Don't care about the DRM, NEVER have had an issue where i couldn't play a game or do something with it because of it.
No Support...NEVER needed them, dont' fall for scams, computer saavy enough to fix my own problems, if they should arise.
Don't care about unfair prices as I live in US so I pay what I pay...as for regions, well I don't live in countries that use other currency so no affect for me.
Don't care about soundtracks and bonuses...usually the DLC is crap anyway and who cares about music in a video game.
GOG....Lot less games than Steam....Nothing that I would like. Seems to be older games that I already have or wouldn't want.
EA...Got four games in my EA account...3 were free and 1 I paid 5 bucks...so not a bad deal.
What?
I think you miss a few things and i really recommend you take a spin around to see a few things
First of all prices are set by the Publisher, its not depending on the market its sold on (if its GOG, Steam, Origin, UPlay, Deasura)
Second of all some Steam games are DRM free
Steam were not the first one
Also adding to all that, did you ever think why Steam has soo many games? maybe there is a reason for it?
And guess what there is, not only is it the system, that many like and the user support as well as community, its also the DRM for the publisher that feel more secure to release his games here then on a site that basically allow any one to give out there games
Like it or not there is Support on Steam, and ya they will not give you support for 3rd party software, they do give support to Steam it self with all it has on it
But games support is up to each publisher/Dev to take care of...
Also adding to your list some things you seem to drop
Steam Pro: Community, some soundtracks are free (and again its up to the Dev not Valve/Steam
Origin pro: Fast support, Good speed downloads
and i am sure there is more things i am missing right now
I have respect for GOG and there DRM free policy, but its a huge risk for any publisher to use it in the risk of losing there games on a easy way
They were first in the market of digital dist. They forced valve games to use it. That and contracts with some publishers made the trick. That's it. That's all of it. I don't think that other reason matter. Valve games atract people. And if, back in the days valve give us a choise not to use Steam, steam wouldn't exist.
A risk that pays of. If you go to torrent you see more steam games than gog. That's because if you treat customers fairly, they will treat the same way you. Actually they drm free policy works better than steam drm one.
But I do agree that GoG is much better than Steam in nearly every way other than lack of games. If GoG had all the same games that Steam does, I wouldn't use Steam anymore. GoG is just simply superior.
The millions of users who play games on here would lose them all & I can't see Ubisoft, activision, & the rest helping them out.
