Technically that is a good thing. It is a pain in the butt to do it everytime, but it is a good thing for many reasons. Talk to people about why this is a good thing for privacy practices. This is the same thing why people are against the anti kernal anti cheats too. It would infringe on users privacy.

Yea, i get this for chrono trigger everytime i try to look at the forums for the game.

According to the A.I. you can use a user script that automatically bypasses the Steam age verification by setting your birthday to 1950 and submitting the form. To use this script, you'll need to install a user script manager like Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey first.

Deleting the part of your age would not save your privacy....as the whole tracking stuff is usually stored in other cookies......

My understanding is that they aren't asking for your age, they just want you to input a birth date that was born 18 years ago.

I mean, they have my birthday on file, yet the age verification asks anyway and doesn't care what year I add it, so I usually input today date and a year in the 1900s. They seem content with that answer, even though steam clearly knows this isn't my birthday.

Steam uses age differently than game publishers. the age verification on store pages are the games. Which suggests the players are under the age of 18 but over the age of some kind. Steam however asks for an age for financial reasons and community player to player online social connections. Steam has no other reason to know your age but for account, and social interactions. Games however need it because of the Content ratings made possible by your corrupt governments. games that have no age ratings don't get displayed when you have setup in Steam the account of the user because it's content filter in the Steam client set as adult.
