What Are 3 Games You'd Like to See Remake With Today's Graphics?
Hello everyone. As written in the title. Which games would you like to see? Of course, you can write games that do not have a PC port, so that they will have a PC port. You can write why these games should be remade with some small explanations. There should be 3.

Another goal of this topic is to reveal forgotten gems.

1) The Suffering
This game was way ahead of its time, but you can't even find a place to buy it today. The game's story was a bit scattered, but its atmosphere and gameplay were top-notch. My favorite thing was that it had a very unique game world in terms of design. Another nice feature was that it could be played both as fps and tps. Normally, there were games that were fps and tps, but none of them could use two different camera angles as well as The Suffering. The Suffering was unique in this regard. For this reason, I think it is one of the forgotten gems that should be remade today.

2) Prey
Another gem that was forgotten with the cancellation of the second game. Prey actually ended with a story that could continue. However, unfortunately Bethasda cancelled it because they didn't see any potential. The Prey we got today has nothing to do with the original Prey. What makes Prey so good is that it shows some serious issues it took on in its time in a very brutal way. It touched on issues such as exploitation, assimilation and imperialism. However, what made the game so good, apart from the weapon mechanics, was that the level designs were incredible. There were level designs that could even be a lesson to today's games. I would like to see this game reborn with today's graphics.

3) Onimusha 3 - Demon Siege
Another unforgettable legend. I have to praise this game a lot. I vaguely remember its story but I know how great the rest is. I can't talk about its story right now. The gameplay was very unique and great. The level designs were very nice and took place both in the present and in the past. The interesting thing is that we played the parts that took place in the present with our Samurai character from the past and the parts that took place in the past as a special forces officer from the present. The game handled each character completely differently. The challenges and gameplay of each character were different. There were special level designs designed for each character. Even the way each character gained their powers was completely different. Apart from that, both the enemies that took place in the present and the enemies that took place in the past were handled in a completely different way. The boss battles were so difficult and tough that they were as tough as the Souls series. Therefore, it made you feel like you were doing Git Gud. I can definitely say that it is a great game that I think should be re-released with today's graphics.

I can't be the one that really don't likes remakes, maybe cause i play the hell of those until im bored and there is nothing else to do, but i had my fun with those, i allways prefer something new.
I don't like when they aren't faithful remakes. I want it to be able to run native on modern hardware. I want the same art assets at higher resolution. Maybe a modern control scheme if it doesn't change too much.

Majora's Mask changed Zora swimming and a heart piece location just to be different.

System Shock had junk items but not to the excessive degree in the remake.

I think the Dead Space remake was just to change the story of the original to retcon the effects of the marker.
I would like to see these remaked on pc with the octopath traveler effect:

Breath Of Fire series 1-5
Wild Arms series up to mobile port versions, and even alter code f version
The creation of earth and heaven, better known as the illusion of Gaia series, including Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, and Soul Blazer/ Soul Blader.
You know, I am honestly ok with most games just being as they are. Remaster to tweak the graphics are ok. But a true remake...

Bloodnet.

The game has such potential. A vampire cyberpunk gothic. There's basically nothing else like it. It did many things before its better known peers and most people have never heard of it. The Amiga version was better which doesn't help. The PC music is ass.

Mix Cyberpunk 2077, Shadowrun, & VM Bloodlines together and you'd be going in the right direction.

Yeah this is similar to what I think too.

I have no problem with remasters and a fresh coat of paint as it were (like for example the recent Tomb Raider remasters). Because part of some games is entirely the mechnical part of how they play - if you change that, you are changing the game.

And when the first Tomb Raider WAS remade on the PS3 it was fine in itself, but not a patch on the original because of that very reason. Part of what makes the original Tomb Raider great is not just the atmosphere and story, but the mechnics and the fact that that is also somewhat puzzle solving. You have to work out moves like long jumps or short jumps before you attempt them to get around.

The first remake lost that entirely.

And of course another of the issues with remaking under the modern climate is depth. Back in the day when costs were lower, you could bung tons of content in a game for little extra resource cost. Nowadays not so much.

In fact out of recent true remakes, I can only think of the Final Fantasy VII Part 2 game which really offered something comparable to the original. Well, that and Resident Evil 2. They bunged all the extras and unlocks and more in that.

But by the remake of Resident Evil 3 they kind of were weak on content even thought the game's decent enough.

When I look at Shadowman Remaster I love the fact the audio is remastered, the textures are nicer, and they've also added content which totally unchanging the mechanics. It feels truly complete.

So yeah, I guess this is another one of those "be careful what you wish for" especially in these modern times.

I disagree with your point about Onimusha 3 as it wouldn't need uprated graphics - only a texture overhaul, a remaster. It's fine as is.

Otherwise good suggestions though - especially Prey.

Having played The Suffering 1 and 2 a few months ago again, I'd say it needs a bit of rework as there's a fair bit about the mechanics that are dated and clunky. Still a fine franchise though.

A lot of what I wanted remastering or remaking have been done.

I#d love to see ICO redone with the same care as Shadow of the Colossus.

I'd also like to many of the classic 3D platformers from the PS2 era given even a new lick of paint - especially Kya: Dark Lineage or Whiplash. They still hold up very well mechnically today so little work would need doing.

How about this for a real leftfield suggestion? Ribbit King. A stupidily quirky bonkers crazy golf type thing with golf done with frogs on alien planets where the referee is a gay alien rastafarian looking erm ... thing.

I'd be all over that.
This is the first time I've heard of the Ribbit King game. It looks like something really interesting. I can take a look at it with an emulator in the future. x) Good suggestion, thanks.

Actually, everything about Onimusha 3 can be said to be good, but sometimes I think it makes it harder to hit because of the limited camera angles. For this reason, I think it would be better if they revisited the gameplay with a camera angle similar to the Souls games compared to the Remake.

It's nice to meet someone here who remembers the legends. I miss these series a lot too. The worst thing is that there won't be any sequels. I think there's a chance these games could be revived with a remake.

Good choices. They were all very old and very good. These games in the grave definitely need to be resurrected. They were games that were way ahead of their time and shaped the gaming industry.

Perfect Dark

...

so many more games forgotten in the constant flow of information, precious jewels, lost.

its a shame the ai-assistant couldn't remember these for me.

there are even old shareware/freeware games from the diskette era that would be absolutely insane brought up to today's standards, with the core mechanics unchanged.
Good choices. I've never played Perfect Dark but its remake has been approved. I hope it's great. I was wondering about this game too.

You two have an old school style that is pretty good and unique. Yeah, nice lists. I would especially like to see Anarchy Online and Lost Planet 2 again.

There is no real benefit in "remaking" a game -- and, more importantly, if it's just about graphics then it's still going to be an old game.

Thus: if I've already played the game before, I have no need to even buy it again. If I haven't played the game before, I might be put off by antiquated game mechanics, and thus I might not want to get it.

I suggest they just make a new game instead.
