id say 1/4 of all games on the front page are ealy access or beta's
id be happy buying into a concept if i had a guarantee that all the features promised were going to materialize.
And by the way over all the front page there are 3 EAG -_- so i do not think that counts to 1/4 at all
And so far we yet to see any game that did not finish some EAG were all ready done.. and are fully released.. some you can see keeps getting updated... and there for yet to see one
3 out of 13 is about 1/4
many dont even offer demos that would be a start.
if i wanted to gamble id go to a casino.
i like amny of the early access just get abit worried im throwing money away. Try kerbal space program epic game epic idea.
3/13? i count 18+ games (did not count the New Releases yet) or did you mean only the feathered window?
Demos are not something that is easy to make.. some EAG cant even have a demo (like how will you make a demo for: Blade Symphony its a fighting game.. i think you can enjoy it just as much with out any thing but the basic moves (great one by the way)
Demos take time to make even more remember these games are EAG you are talking abut games that may have many bugs and you want them to make a Demo that may have too many bugs so no one will buy it? or do you think they really need to take out the Dev time to work on updating the Demo as with the game?
Its not like gamble in a casino, as here you can have more chance to see how it gos. .and ever more you can see who makes the game..
Like in Blade Symphony the dev of the game are Puny Human the same guys that made the Dystopia[www.dystopia-game.com] Mod, and that is why i know i can trust them to finish the game..
As well as seeing that the game get updated all the time
Even more you say its too much? do you understand not only are you paying to help the Dev to finish the game, you also buy the full game when ever its released.. so why do they need to sale it for less? in the end its going to be a full game
Fact, large developers have reduced the number of games that they release over the course of the year. Fact, they will release games that follow what I call the "make what we know sells" model of game development meaning fewer new IPs if any over the year.
Fact, game development isn't cheap. Early Access allows small and indie dev teams to fund development of the games they are making due to the fact that large publishers are no longer interested in funding small studios and games. At least gamers know up front that what they are buying is alpha or beta code or at least they should be. If they do not do any research, then it is their fault for buying without reading or understanding what is happening.
Fact, even large studios and publishers release flops and buggy games that need fixing. Fact, even large publishers release unfinished games that are supposedly finished and gamers pay a premium for.
And like i say before look and search before you buy... its not that hard lets say these game Earth: Year 2066 With a small search and even just a peak in the reviews i can tell il not get it.. not before they will work hard on it.. it has waaaay to long to go before i will think abut getting it...
As before these games are not on a time limit.. if you do not think it will end wait and see... sit around and see how it go.. read reviews of the games over time many time you will find some users that also do the important things for EAG in there reviews like how much its update dose it look like its moving or just standing in place
ok that is a nice point... why is EAG so much shamed when AAA titles are just as much buggy?
At least the Early Access Games are honest about being unfinished.
