GIFT NOT RECEIVED
Hi guys. My friend sent me a gift on steam. The payment has been made through his credit card. He also received confirmation of the purchase and a Thank you message which is saved with him. However, despite the fact that the purchase has been made and gift has been sent to me I have not received it as yet. It has been 24 hours. Today he received a text message for verification, however still nothing. Kindly help me and let me know what I should do?

he should check his steam inventory ...

Thanks for the response guys. @Nele: He sent it through steam, however I have no new gift and the icon is still white. Usually, as soon as the gift is sent the green icon appears but this time it was not the case. He even has a confirmation number for the order. @wuddih: it is not in the inventory as well.

He can check his inventory to see the status of the gift if it isn't claimed. It's very possible he sent it to the wrong person.

Seeing as it just happened to me, and this was the first thread that appeared when I searched. The problem seems to occur if the receiver is in offline mode when the gift is sent.

To get the gift, go to the tabs at the top of the screen and click [profile name] -> inventory, then the three dots in the top-right (next to trade offers) then View Gift History. The gifts will appear there.
