Get rid of the porn games

Keep in mind that viewing them was opt-in to begin with.

Errr, yes, there are. If you check the preferences which Totoro mentioned then you'll notice that they provide certain 2 gradations: nudity or adult-only content. And that's for a good reason.

As to the subject at hand I believe the purists should grow up. Unless you explicitely enable this stuff you wouldn't be the wiser in the first place. So I fail to see the problem here. This isn't about moral values and such, it's about trying to push personal agendas and preferences onto others.

In other words: just because "I" don't like it the whole genre has to go. That's just stupid.

Anyway, considering the money that general goes with this genre as a whole I wouldn't keep your hopes up.

Then you have to dig a little deeper, there are hardcore porngames on Steam, but you have to optin to see them as Spawn of Totoro allready told.

search "Bonecraft" on steam store, you're welcome. (as other's said though you need to be opt-in to seeing adult content for it to present its self) Bonecraft is as hardcore as hardcore porn gets. I think devs had planned on releasing "BoneTown" also on steam older than bonecraft. (edit I just checked it's made it here to) I'd link it but idk if thats against discussion rules or not it's a gray area I assume. Skyrim is a porn game everybody knows that in 2021 lol. All those people you see playing it right now, I'd bet my left nut over half of them have loverslab framework installed which technically adds hardcore porn to the game. Sorry if my comment here corrupts a childs mind but truth is always raw & merciless. My intent was never to corrupt but to inform.

Moderator whats your opinion of links even if on steam store and adult only? Is there a rule on that? I know what rules say but this area seems maybe a gray area? I think steam should revise the discussion rules with the fact steam store content can at times be phonographic material or does that rule not apply to steam itself? I mean they should now days clarify that rule a little better. But since they haven't your opinion matters as you'll be the one I'd have to deal with in the end right? lol

It's no more pathetic then the excessively grotesque violent gorefests that have become mainstream entertainment. In fact, that's worse. You may not care for porn games, but there's a large niche that does, and the market space does well when it isn't being derided by the uninformed. Some of the best story telling and some of the more prominent franchises has routes in "Eroge". The entire Fate series for one (not to be confused with FATE which is a different series).

Its not pathetic. I don't like them either , but they can be easily filtered out. People who like them can still buy them.
