Coould you guys ban freaking Banana game ?
This << Banana >> game scam is pathetic and just unfunny. What's the point ? Does Gabe like the idea of making money on the back of scammers ? We all need to show to the steam company this should not be legal and tolerated.

Sure, my argument relies on the fact that I believe Banana produces nothing of value, is an entirely superflous and wholly wasteful activity.
So is gaming and here we are.
Yeah, there's huge groups of people who think gaming in general is huge waste of time. So I guess Steam and every other platform should just close its' doors....because a minority doesn't like gaming. Just like a minority doesn't like this Banana game....OR maybe we could just let people enjoy this hobby and play what they want.

OP would you really want other users telling you that a game you played and liked should be banned? I doubt it.

No, you havent. You assume something about a game you never even opened.
This is NOT an Idle game, you do NOT have to keep it running 24/7 to get Bananas.
You open the game, click once or twice, then close it.

Repeat after 7 hours for a "normal" drop and repeat after 14 hours for a "rare" drop.
Your "argument" is not an argument at all.

So yes, the earlier argument about people playing CS2 in comparison, or any other game really, absolutely makes sense.

the game has 400K players concurrently online every day for months now. This means at any given time, there are 400K computers running the game

There you go, you wanted a reason why the game shouldn't be removed and there's 400K reasons why your opinion doesn't matter...

Yawn, another tolerant boy who can't quote a single specific worthwhile reason why 400K are 'playing' Banana. Instead responds in hackneyed generalities. You two should talk, I'm sure you'd hit it off.

You wanted a reason I just gave you 400 thousand reasons. You still haven't gave a decent reason yet as to why it should be removed other than saying "I don't like it so get rid of it" which isn't a reason but more of a cry of " My mummy lets me get away with everything so the rest of the world should also bow down to my beliefs, otherwise I'll throw my dummy out of my pram"...

LMAO still not a single reason, you're hilarious.

To anyone else reading: make no mistake, there is a simple, sad and disingenous reason these basement dwellers are refusing to provide a single reason for Banana existing. It is because they know that any concrete reason they provide will sound tone-deaf, apologetic, sell-out. Instead they refuse to even engage the question, hiding behind tolerant generalities of the free market economy, even when it's killing their ecosystems in front of their eyes. I certainly wonder why they tend to be so tolerant on these issues but not when it comes to other people!

I'm gone from this thread, this is pathetic.
If only this guy could lock this.

What law does it break? I get you don't like it, but its not a scam and isn't breaking any laws so what would be the justification for banning it?
It breaks human decency. It created an artificial currency that relies exclusively on market prediction. Meanwhile since its release so much energy has been wasted since literally hundreds of thousands of computers (400k atm) are continously switched on, 'mining'. It's pathetic how supposedly we are trying to fight climate change, yet are unwilling and unable to take down such artificial ♥♥♥♥. Ban this abhorrent trash.

It defies human decency?

That's quite an assertion. Please demonstrate your empirical evidence it does and how you'd even measure that.

Because it sounds like "I don't like it therefore I'll call it human decency because I don't have a valid reason".

Incorrect, but thank you for assuming something about me instead of sticking to facts and logic!

SteamDB checks player count every 5 minutes for the top 800 games. You would know that if you had done your own Google search, instead of assuming I'm wrong because you disagree with me. You could have also checked there that the game has 400K players concurrently online every day for months now. This means at any given time, there are 400K computers running the game, as I've correctly said. Additionally considering that the game has very little fluctuation in player counts, most people actually do keep it on all the time, so you were wrong twice here! You hadn't done your research, so instead you forced me to do the work for you. Thanks for wasting my time.

I'm not assuming you're wrong because I disagree with you, I'm telling you that you are wrong because I "played the game" myself for a few times.

You are wrong, that's a fact.
Again - you do not have to keep the game open. You start it, click a few times, get the Drops and close it again for 7 to 14 hours.

If people cant comprehend that and keep the game open that's not the Developers fault.
They clearly tell you how it works.

Whats even funnier is you assuming that all of those people have their PC turned on JUST for this game. Thinking they would be outside with their PC turned off if the game didnt exist.

Spoiler: not how it works. People play something else and keep this game in the background (for whatever reason), meaning you have even less of a point.

I'm sure there's no statute of limitations on creating a criminally bad game.

There's no statute of limitations on things that aren't illegal.
