(solved) How long do refunds take?
So i bought a game i was curious about now on summer sales but since i didnt rlly like it i refunded it with the hopes of getting back my steam wallet money and buy another thing on sale. Its been already a week, my refund was recieved apparently since i got an email about it, but stills 10 days since i refund the game and my money isnt back, hope steam doesnt troll me to make me buy the game at full price.

Is the ticket still open?

:cool_seagull:
Was the request approved, or just recieved, is the ticket still open?

https://store.steampowered.com/stats/support/

The current estimated time for refund requests is 55.92 minutes to 11.01 hours, with 511,982 submitted in the past 24 hours.

If you got a refund on a purchase you made with an external payment method, they put the money back there (so the credit card charge gets reversed from Valve's end, for example) if possible.

the refund thingy just creates a ticket.
if the ticket is closed without answer, your account is compromised.

your game badge shows a change on 6th of july(2 days ago). the badge only changes if a non-free, paid product is added to the account.
if there was any form of credential change on your account, refund requests are automatically delayed by 3 days before they go in queue.

If you don't have 2FA on your account, the funds might take longer to reach you

Also depending on who you bank with.

In my experience, almost always 1-2 hours for the refund request to be approved and another 24 after that to get the funds back to the Steam Wallet. No idea about funds going elsewhere.

Check if your ticket is still open, as @wuddih said

Looking at the linl on the message, the refung thin says "closed" as status, and now reading, since the requests get delayed 3 days if i buy a game maybe that could be the reason???, it would be weird since its been almost a week since the refund request until the day i bought counter strike source so, yeah im confused.

If the ticket is closed it is likely your account is compromised.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

API key is most important because thats how they close tickets
