Valve removes likes and dislikes on reviews? Or the Neural Anti-Cheat has taken over. The thread on reddit was deleted in 2 seconds)
I like and disliked for example 30-50 reviews in CS2 (maybe in other games so). I refreshed (or log out of styme and log in) and they are there. I wait for an hour or so and go back and scroll through and notice that all the likes and dislikes are gone as if I did nothing (scrolled through 2 days of reviews and none with my evaluation). Also, if you rate about 30 reviews in a row, it's been giving error 16 for like a few years now and slowing down the whole pointless, as it turns out, process. Who else has the same thing?

I think Valve make better use of their time than removing the likes a person gives to a random review on their game.

CS2 has over 8 million reviews. Do you know how many people work at Valve? Lets just say it's not a million people, or 100 000 or 10 000 or even 1000 people. I think it's less than 400.

They do not have the time to do this.

Votes might start counting after a certain amount of time to keep the stress off the server if it constantly had to update the counter.
As it'd probably be akin to a DDos attack.

Interesting that you're all in the same Steamworks Development group

Check my badge. I'm just in that group because I was in it during my time as a Volunteer Moderator.

Not that I did anything in it.

That's the group that game developers automatically get invited to when they sign up on Steam. It's used for getting help with the Steamworks APIs and with the process for publishing a game.
Why on earth would Valve spend the time and resources to remove likes and dislikes from reviews?

First, dislikes aren't visible. You can only see how many people voted a review as helpful. Second, it sounds if anything like a Steam display glitch, if anything. And finally, why bring reddit up it all? Completely different issue, and nothing to do with whether or not Valve is trying to censor the fact that you like a review.

Worst case, I could maybe imagine some algorithm that discards too many likes in a short time, as a way to prevent review manipulation. If that's a thing, maybe just slow down a little.

Means absolutely nothing and a few people here were hub moderators or community moderators, an example;

I think it’s also interesting that they’ve all probably worn jeans at some point in their lives, quite suspicious

I bet they're all human, too.

Yep. In fact you cannot actually view review dislikes at all. Even spam bot up/downvotes are left (just not accounted for the helpfulness ratio)

Seems OP was too in a hurry and spamming the refresh button waiting for something to happen or the servers had a bit of a hiccup.
I asked the regular players. This has nothing to do with you.
Funny thiing is, he is a regular player.

Because they're trying to suggest there's a conspiracy between the twin evils of Valve and Reddit?

You should also look more closely, anyone can request to join that group. So, you could if you wanted to.
This happens because it seems to locally store your likes and dislikes, so you can see them for a while, but often the communication to the server gets lost or is entirely down, so if you go back later or after restarting the steam client they be will gone.

Lol I'm sorry but I can't imagine being worried about something like this
Then stay out of posts about it

Why do that when I can express derision over such a silly non-issue?

Ya, I agree with this.

I've had likes and dislikes disappear too, but it always turned out to be an issue with the connection or server. If I waited an our and tried again, they would take.
