Need urgent help with a region hop question!
I live in Turkey (till I finally can gtfo anyway!) and the recent change to the currency hasn't exactly done us a favor here, but then again we still do get a slight discount compared to other regions with the USD as their currency.

However I need to region hop, and make 1 very important purchase!
And my target region happens to be the US store!
It sounds a little dumb considering I'd be paying more on the US store, but I'm only going to do this for 1 single game and then I'm done.

You see, those bastards at Rockstar unlisted the original Max Payne around a year and a half ago(?)
It's been gathering dust on my wishlist since forever and at this point I'm sure it won't come back.

They temporarily brought back Max Payne 2 however, which I snatched immediately, but that was some random error on their part I guess.

As of writing this, Max Payne remains available in only 6 or so regions, the most important one being the US.
With Turkey - alongside a few of our neighbor countries - getting their store currency converted to USD, would it be a problem if I were to region-hop back to the US and make 1 last purchase?
I use a MasterCard with multiple currencies anyway, so I don't assume the system would exactly deny my transaction?
I do wonder how it'd react if I were to put in my address tho, lol.

I know Valve hates region-hopping, but I genuinely believe I'm not hurting anyone here by paying those bastards at Rockstar some extra money to get this masterpiece before they butcher it with a horrible remaster and unlist it off the face the planet forever.

I've waited too long and it seems like they won't ever solve the problem.

P.S: Sorry for the super long post, I tend to over-share a bit when I need opinions on a case.
It's easier to give out all the info in advance to avoid too much back-and-forth.

Cheers in advance! :necroheart:

That can lead to the account being banned or locked, so I would not suggest it.

It isn't up to Valve either. It is the developer/publisher who makes the decision as to what region a game can be sold it.
You can't region hop to buy. It's against the rules you agreed to.

No.

Damnit.
Are there any other ways to purchase keys for games from the US store? Preferably not having to pay extra for it either.

I think the game isn't actually region-locked, right?

Nope.

If you can't get it in your region, then you're SOL. Any attempts to try and get round it are a great way to get your account frozen.
Damn you Rockstaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!

Region activation locked, yes.

No - you don't. That response is pertinent to both statements.

It is on account of individuals of your sort that the regulation was conceived in the first place. Thank you for being a bright illustration for that matter.
