Porn Games

Half the new and trending is porn games. Every time I look it's some new porn game. If you wanna play that stuff, more power to you but I sure as hell don't want to see it. Is there a way to filter those games out? I don't wanna miss out on games that might have sexual content or nudity just ones that are clear asset flip porn games. It's gotten way out of control.

Done! Never actually knew that was a thing. I just find it annoying to get home from work excited to see what's new and...porn...just porn...

Keep in mind "Adult Only Sexual Content" is unchecked by default. One would have had to enable it in order to see such content to begin with.

And as it keep coming up:
"Adult Only Sexual Content" does not filter out games such as the Witcher series or other games with general nudity and other sexual content. It filters out all games shown as "Adult Only."

Yea the Witcher was what I had in mind. I didn't want games like that filtered out.

unchecked by default eh? I've never gone in there and nobody uses my account. Hmmm....a mystery.

Well, got all the adult content boxes checked, and i see under Popular New Releases:
+ Landlord's Super
+ Do not feed the Monkeys 2099
+ Above Snakes
top 3 as example, and i doubt those are games with any "adult" content...

Yea...that's what I see now too BUT before I switched the filter, half today's list was straight up porn.

Well, thx for your help. As a gamer I just find crap like that insulting really. Those aren't "games" made by developers with passion for their projects. Those things are just powerpoints made by perverts to take advantage of people and make a quick buck.

Adult Only Sexual Content is OFF by default and you enabled it to see that content.

The guide below will hide all unwanted sexual content that is bothering you and will keep games that might have some sexual content here and there, like GTA.

1- On the top right corner click on your picture > Account details > Preferences (on the left).

2- On MATURE CONTENT FILTERING
Remove the ticks from Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content and Adult Only Sexual Content

3- Keep "Some Nudity or Sexual Content" boxes ticked.

This setup matches exactly what you mentioned you wanted. It seems to save automatically. You might need to restart steam or wait a bit so the store adapts to your preferences.

ya, I dont understand why a gaming platform that most certainly has kids is allowing porn games to take highlight or top visibility spots. its kind of upsetting

Well according to a few above I must have enabled it at some point though I have no idea of ever doing it. I can say this though, if this existed when I was a 13 year old or whatever...that would be enabled and my library would be full of it.
