3 Trading cards sold at market, payment shows 'Pending'
I was going bananas whole day seeing steam wallet at top right corner showing 'Pending' credit. I had not bought any game seeking a refund. So was not sure what happened. Checked all emails to see if any hack happened something was bought and returned. When scanning market listings page to see sold items, I noticed 3 trading cards I listed had sold but payment of all 3 showed 'pending' that was actually what was showing collectively in wallet.

How is this possible? Is this a new thing?

Tuesday is maintenance day, it might have something to do with it. You should contact support if the credit remains stuck for too long.

Can you even list a strange issue without going in circles and hitting only FAQs?

Just attached screenshot in main post. BTW I sold 100 cards that day none else got stuck only 3 high priced ones did.

I got the same thing just now I literally sold something for the cheapest on the market and received an email stating "The purchase price for this item is unusual. Funds received from this sale will be held temporarily."

Now it looks like everything I sell goes straight to pending

Same here, sold rust skin for 1,1$ that is being sold for 1-1,15 range and also got money from that sale on pending and received same email. Looks like their automatic anti money laundering system that works when someone sells a skin for lets say 1000% of its value got f**** up today or smth.

Well today 100 cards more sold I listed and none pending. Just these 3 yesterday.

This is a new experience I found this email on sale of items:

An item you listed in the Community Market has been sold to XXXYYY. Your Steam Wallet has been credited 000.00 INR.

The purchase price for this item is unusual. Funds received from this sale will be held temporarily.

Funds from this sale will be held by Steam for up to five days. In the meantime, the funds will be included in your pending wallet balance. If necessary, the transaction may be reversed and the item returned to your Steam Inventory.

Steam Support cannot modify or accelerate this process. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The rate of cards were high for a while and i had infact listed at a rate lowest rate in stack. Why is it seen with suspicious?

Its a security measurement against hijacked accounts so scammers cant just sell the entire inventory of a account at lowest "buy now" price.
With this new restriction the original owner has more time to get their account back before his items are being sold by the scammer.
It triggers automatically if a items get sold a certain amount under the current average market value.

it is mainly to combat transferring wallet funds and other things may be tested.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
