Warhammer 40k SPACE WOLF De-listing.
https://steamcommunity.com/games/553210/announcements/detail/3692443904318756290

Dear Wolves!

First of all, we would like to apologise for delivering this unexpected news. This was not an easy decision, however, our team has concluded that we can no longer sustain the game. Thus, after an incredible 10 years since its initial launch in 2013, we are officially announcing the closure of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf.

We want to assure you all that we truly gave it our best, and it was an immensely rewarding experience working alongside our passionate community. This game was a labour of love for us. Being ardent Warhammer fans ourselves, we were overjoyed to have had the opportunity to work with our beloved universe.

Our heartfelt thanks go to our community for all the unparalleled support and enthusiasm you have displayed. We sincerely hope you've enjoyed playing with us as much as we've relished creating the game and interacting with you all.

We hope some of you will stick around to vanquish some more Chaos filth with us before we say our final goodbyes.

On 12th October the game will be de-listed from all stores across all platforms but those of you who purchased it earlier will still be able to access it from your libraries.

Thank you all for playing and being the most exceptional community we have ever had!

The Space Wolf Team

Just thought i'd give anyone a heads up before October you want it buy it now or its gone forever....:dreadnought:

I didn't. I don't buy games on Steam anymore, so this information is welcome for me to buy the game elsewhere.

No probs.

And i don't know how to quote.

Um... NONE of the threads in this forum are "needed."

But as it happens, that was useful information about a franchise I enjoy and had no idea the game was going to be de-listed, I didn't catch it on sale but thanks to this OP I now have the option to pick up the DLCs that I had been holding off on.

Why does it bother you enough to complain about it? If you really don't care, just ignore and move on, this is not a sensible hill to die on.

But yeah a direct link to the announcement would have probably been better.

Thanks by the way.

I assume GW has revoked their licence.
No, more than likely, the license expired. If it was revoked, the game would have been removed long before now. And I'm not whining either by the way. You made a redundant thread, simple.
Hmm yeah that actually makes sense. GW is funny about their licenses, I could easily imagine it expired and couldn't be renewed for *reasons*

Kind of odd that they would de-list it, just because they couldn't support it. Many games are in such a state and still for sale.

But if it was due to an expiring game license, than that would make sense as to why it would have to be de-listed. They may not be making enough to cover the cost of the GW license.

Yeah, the same happened to the Deadpool game. (too bad, it's actually a pretty good game.) I think a number of other Activision/Marvel games were removed for the same reason.

GW did just ban all mini Marines from there table top game, and space wolf is only mini marines? Tin foil hat maybe.

Its Primaris only now.

Even if you buy the game elsewhere, you still get a Steam key. The game is not on GOG as far as I can tell.

Cool, didn't know PSN or LIVE offered Steam keys. Can you tell me where I can claim them, would be incredible nice if I could get all my games over there here too. :steammocking:

Edit: come to think of it. The whole statement of yours is pointless. I said I don't buy games at Steam, not they I don't playgames on Steam anymore. Or not using Steam at all (like, obviously). So getting a Steam key from elsewhere is irrelevant to what I wrote.
Quite funny considering you complained about this topic being superflous.

As far as I am aware the big Space Marine statue at their HQ is still a 2nd edition marine even. :D
(Also keep in mind miniature wise they are also of a different scale. A Firstborne is barely larger than a new Imperial Guard, so it does make sense to get rid of them.)

The one in the OP is on GOG.

They put it in every market they could get it on, it seems, including mobile.

Hey cool and it's still 90% of on GoG. Complete edition with all DLC for $3.50, that's actually an amazing deal.

Not even that. FDM, for example, is roughly 15-25$ per kilogram of PLA. One could make much more than a dozen miniatures with a quarter kilogram (barring an obscene amount of failed prints).

Whaaaaaat? Damn, now I wish I grabbed some of those DLCs while the game was on sale last month.

How is it that they can no longer sustain the game? Is there some form of recurring resource/cost to keep it listed?
license to use warhammer IP
