Kingdom Hearts ???
What ever happened to the Kingdom Hearts franchise being released on Steam? It has been available as an exclusive over at Epic Games for over 2 years now.

Normally these deals Epic does with studios and publishers are 1 year long, after which they come to all other platforms.

But Kingdom Hearts 3 has already been on PC Game Pass yet there is no sign of these games on Steam. It's not like Square is not publishing to Steam with their most recent game, Forspoken, releasing here day and date as on other platforms.

Did SquareEnix completely forget about this series and putting it onto the Steam platform?

Ask square, they can tell you more.

Epic most likely paid and help the ports. After all, kingdom hearts was built on unreal engine made by epic.

Steam/valve did nothing here and doesn't deserve the 30% of what epic has done for the series.

If you're a KH fans, stop being an ungrateful jerk, and just play it on EGS.

Do you always go on the attack and make assumptions when people ask simple questions? Why would you call me an ungrateful jerk? In fact I own the first collection on Epic, I was just wondering whether I should complete it there rather than wait for them to come to Steam.

For Christ sake grow up!

Judging by their post history they seem to have some hatred for steam yet are here. Essentially they are here to derail.

We don't know the nature of the epic exclusivity deal, no one can say for sure if and when it will come to Steam.

But make no mistake, when it does, it won't be cheap. All four of the game packages are around 60$ each on epic, and given Square's recent pricing and ports, shows no signs of going down.

I'm sorry do you mind if I ask you where you got this information about those leaks on Steamdb?

I stand corrected. There are no KH specific leaks, they only existed for TWEWY and FF7R, both which already released on steam. Nobody knows.

I'm a KH fan but I have standards. I will never support something like EGS. I have seen enough of the things they did to steal devs from steam while some resisted being sellouts to remain loyal to their customers. EGS doesn't care about principles, they only care about money.

reddit has quite a few rumors/theories. Such as... maybe Disney has something to do with it; maybe they are working on the games to ensure they are Steam Deck Verified; and my favorite, they placed an extension on an 18 month contract meaning the games would release on steam at the end of March this year.

Considering now overpriced it is on EGS vs getting it on console your not missing much except paying 10 times the price....
AZORRR 😈 Mar 28, 2023 @ 2:09pm
guess it will never come, KH Anniversary today and nothing

Well, I read somewhere that today(March 30th) marks the day it released on the Epic Store ending a 2 year exclusivity contract. I would've thought it to release on Steam, just now, this very hour.
