HOW LONG TO WAIT IF YOU PUT YOUR KEY IN WRONG!!!!

In this day and age steam have this RIDICULOUS *%£$*$*£*"**"*!*"*£* WAIT saying i must now wait as i have too many attempts on a cd key.

The cd key is full of 0 or O and working it out was a damn nightmare and now its blocked me until later AND IT DOES NOT SAY WHEN I CAN TRY THE KEY AGAIN!! WTF IS THIS STEAM????

Exactly 1 full hour, not a second less.

This helps stop people from trying to brute force keys.

You should have just copy/pasted the key.

It is the same with any card you need to enter a code number. Too many tries putting in the number and failing, you will be locked out, it is a safety measure.

Have patience and just wait try again in an hour or so, if you still have trouble contact support.

Where did you get the key from anyway, was it a legit site? As for the hour lockout stop stressing, go and put the kettle on have a brew and relax, no need to get angsty.

That isn't Valve's problem either. But it is a backwards and ridiculous process if that is the case.

its how some of the key sites do it. take an image of the retail key and send that. saves a lot of typing and errors.

so as an update the key is not working as i have just found out steam is not allowing early access to hogwarts from third party deluxe editions even though they deluxe editions on third party sites say you can.

You should get two keys with your deluxe purchase. You have to activate the game first, then the Onyx Hippogriph Mount key after.

There is not much reason that 0 and O need to be in one key. Are you sure its 0 and O?
There is even less reason to let them look "equal".
