How do you turn on the sound on steam?
I cannot find how to turn on the sound on steam. I had it on not long ago and I made the mistake of not turning off the computer when cleaning it and when I came back on there was no sound on the steam page. The volume on the games was at full but there was no noise.
I thought it had to be on the keyboard and pressed every key but no luck. I'd love to get the sound back on, anyone know how?
It's just on the front page, my library is fine,those games have sound.

Right click on the speaker icon by the clock and chose sound mixer while in a game (alt tab to go back to desktop) with no sound is running and see if any of them got muted.

There is the Volume mixer open the speaker on the taskbar or audio section on your taskbar next to the clock open volume mixer.

Not getting anywhere with it. There is a sound icon on the task bar where you can adjust volume but right clicking does nothing. There is no clock as such just date and time, right clicking on that, brings up the menu for the date and time and nothing else.

game sound and steam sound is not related to each other.

win+r -> sndvol.exe

If you clicked on say a demo game then volume is turned up to full but there is no sound. Download it to your library and run it the sound is there.

If you have Windows 10 try.

Right Click the Speaker Icon->Open Sound Settings->Advanced sound options-App volume and device preferences(at the bottom)->Check output and volume settings.

Or type Sound Settings in search box and click->Advanced sound options-App volume and device preferences(at the bottom)->Check output and volume settings.
