Are the game hours counted by steam correct?

What's up steam people.

I have a very big question and I haven't found any info about this.

Have you ever seen the steam hours on a game and noticed that the minutes exceeded the 60 as to count one hour more to the game time?

the .9 is not meant as minutes...

For example:
If you played a game for 1 hour and 30 mintes, steam would tell you, that you played the Game 1.5 hours.

So in your case, the .9 means you probaly didn't reach the full hour. maybe something around 55-59 minutes or so..

0.1 hours is 6 minutes. So 0.9 hours is 54 minutes. It doesn't exceed 60 minutes.

I have seen one occasion where games told me that I had played X amount of minutes, so it made me confused.

the playtime is counted in minutes, it is just mostly displayed rounded to one decimal.

That's for the first 2 hours in your library, yes. It'll display, for example, 110 minutes in your library then. But on the store page and your profile page it will still display it as 1,8 hours.
