I don't know why, but I think having the lighter blue on the bottom makes it harder to see.
Hmm, you know I never even realized you could put icons onto the taskbar. Okay, interesting. The Steam icon is now on my tasbar.
Nice.
I usually hide all my icons in the system tray to avoid clutter but for those that do not there should be a bit of an outline for the icon, to help differentiate it from the background.
Do realise that we all have a VERY wide and varying perception of how colour seems to us and that out of the whole male population alone, some 30% have some amount of colour-blindness. It's very easy for a person not to see one colour on a different shade of the same colour, but another person view it fine.
However, that said, the solution is simple - change the colour of your taskbar. A neutral black or white tone tends to solve all these ills.
2. I like the new steam icon more than the old one. :)
Honestly took me about 10 mins to realize that they had changed the logo. Was like wtf where is my steam shortcut.
