As in subject Steam must delete all game random tags and ask developers to choice defoult genre and all tags for all title.

Why? Becouse community is stupid as ♥♥♥♥ and now no one cant use FILTER to find some intresting game by choice Genre or tag like RPG, Rogulike, Visual Novel.

If Valve not repair this all will be uselles. You can delete "search box" from steam if you not repair this. Not let community add tag to any game. Only developer who create game must choice category, genre, or tags...

Both are terrible. Small studios or developers mis-use and overtag their games and the community does it best effort to troll itself.

Or better Steam must update game info section.

Example

Game Title: Some random game.
Language EN
Subtitle PL.EN,JP
Genre: RPG, Turn Based, Horror.

And nothing more. And max 3 x tag for 1 title. like above.
Then when you write in filter RPG then you find this. Not like now 100 tags and 50 uncorect.

Both are terrible. Small studios or developers mis-use and overtag their games and the community does it best effort to troll itself.

To be fair it does have those due to plugins, if you look at OBS's forums ya their are some uhh..not safe for work recording things in there...some even going right to adult websites...

And given OBS is not a Steam plugin; I see why they are added. These days alot of OBS subsystems are rather untouched but they do exist..

Devs can also define what types their game qualifies for, you can clearly see this when you set up dynamic groups in your library. Why even bother with tags?

IMO user definable tags are a good thing because it gives you a clear impression of what the community things: thinks about a game, or what topics they associate it with. As mentioned above: just report troll tags.

IMO the good tags don't weigh up against the bad. And nothing beats user input.

I'd rather have 3 false tags set up by the community vs. 1 falsely defined tag by the developer.

And this is bad coz now allmoust all geme on steam have tag "souls-like" Moust ppl dont know what is difrence roguliKE and roqueliTE, Game is tagged same in 50% times becouse comunnity add meny tags and when you filter some game you alweys see meny title taged as Hentai, and Souls-like, Or Visual novel + Survival horror + relaxing.

True is You cant find any game you wont becouse meny tags from oposite category or genre is added together. Then from list 200 games you can find meybe one who match for your expectataons or none... Report tag dont have any effect becouse you report 100 games users add 1000 000 tags in same time...

If i report OBS now this forum subject will be fixed, and no one see that problem.
And report this let You, avoid problem for a while not correct and fix it pernamently...

I rly wont trust me but now i have 41 years and if i start todey repair all fake tags i lost all time to play other steam games before i die...

And problem is SEARCH BOX use tags for find content, i write souls-like and i find OBS. Then Steam now have big problem. Becouse let community add random tags or create new.

I wouldn't mind a system where there are main tags (assigned by the devs/publisher) and below them are community tags.

It would be interesting to see a search system where you could select to ignore one or the other.

ie. Search for "Platformer" while ignoring Community tags.

I sure as ♥♥♥♥ ain't gonna search for that. However, should you indeed post such tags on a game page I may check out later for whatever reasons, I will report them.
