I had to wait a few days, yes, probably the only negative, but that's to be expected when everyone writes a ticket for nonsense they cant even do anything about.
Like VAC Bans.
You are a customer of the game developer.
Bye bye now.
you put this in a forum to discuss it. all we can do is either agree and/or let others know what our experience was.
so far, mine has been pretty good as well
whatt was the original problem? what info did they give? how did they try and help before the end?
all we have is your sorta rant in wall o text format.
It has something to do with the Topic you created in a Public Forum. If you dont like answers, post your rant in a .txt file.
there was, i repeat, was a visual error that displayed cloud sync error for games that didn't even had cloud support. this should be widely fixed. if not, update Steam, reboot.
if you wanna more specific help, provide more details.
Steam customer service is crap, even when they are giving you suggestions. I want them to fix their app, not inconvenience me with 7 step of how to maybe, possibly fix the issues that THEY are causing.
As to the cloud issue: That has been going on for I think around a year? It started off innocuously enough. I first noticed it with House Flipper, so everyone thought it was their interface to Steam's cloud. Then, it was every single game that offered cloud functionality through Steam. It became apparent that Steam's cloud functionality was itself faulty. Attempts to contact customer service went as I said above. A complete waste of my time and energy.
I turned off all cloud services for ALL games. I got sick and tired of the errors saying that the Steam cloud was not synced. I even bought a new game, installed it, try to start it, and was molested with an error message that the Steam cloud was out-of-sync.
Then, I checked my games, and ALL of the games had the cloud services re-activated! I went back through and de-activated it in ALL of them AGAIN!!
So, you are correct. Their customer service is by-and-large crap. I have rarely had a positive experience with them. The cloud issue sucks, so I advise people to put their saves on a flash drive if they want to play on a different device, and to back them up.
