When steam counts playtime... does it combine it with dlc?
As title says, I am trying to leave a fair review for a game, and I wanted to see how long the dlc was but its not showing me any time... then I thought, maybe main game and dlc get combined, anyone know?

DLC doesn't have a playtime counter. The base game is the total time.

DLC is not tracked separately as it depends on the main game to function.

It may seem otherwise for refunds, but refunds simply count two hours from what the main game's time was, when purchasing the DLC.

Thank you, that makes sense. Cheers.

So does this mean when I play a game like 20 hour's but I have the dlc then I play it does it mean I played the dlc for 20 hours, and that would suck for refunds:postaldude:

REFUNDS ON DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT
(STEAM STORE CONTENT USABLE WITHIN ANOTHER GAME OR SOFTWARE APPLICATION, "DLC")

DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase.
