report the discord account to discord. false reports do nothing
steam never contacts you on discord
reports are investigated, it does not matter if you get 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 reports made against your account, if there was no violation, nothing will happen
Steam Employees do not use discord to communicate with users nor will they use Steam Chat, all Notifications are within the Steam Client only
Report discord accounts to discord.
Report steam accounts messaging you with such things to Steam.
Ask yourself this: if you report someone, do you get to know what happened afterwards? Can you warn them about it?
Steam doesn't work this way. The only reason those <self-censored> used Discord is because had they used Steam (why didn't they?) then it would have traced right back to them.
This is a scam, trust us. 100%
never got scammed before lol
You know what cold calling is? If you ever get cold-called, its generally best to never click any links. Note important details. (Do as you did) and take screengrabs. Then go directly to the platform that was at issue. Contact official sources/support or at least ask in open forum.
No matter what pleading or claiming the scammer may say, they ARE not legitimate and are a scammer. Many will claim to be Valve staff or point you to Valve staff, it's stilla scam.
Just remember there is only ONE way to talk to Valve, and that's by you making a support ticket and waiting for the reply. That's it.
So anyone claiming to be Valve on Discord or anyting else can be comforatbly dismissed as bollocks.
Misreport makes no sense. How Steam works is if you report a post and a moderator takes action on it you will see a message waiting for you in the top right of your Steam application window. The mail icon will highlight like I said. It will say something like 'An action has been taken on an item you reported' or something along those lines. If you have been reported by someone else and the moderator thinks its necessary to warn you, help you or guide you or possibly ban you from a forum this same system will be used. There is no such thing as mis-reporting someone. That doesn't even make sense.
