Deleted my review and made a new one, but the posted date didn't change.
Yeah, I made a review on a game before.
I got a comment on that same review.
Later, I've decided to delete the review because it starts getting irrelevant.
Now, I'm making a review on the same game and when it got posted, the posted date shown is the one that I posted the first time, not today!
And that same old comment is still there!
What is happening?! I didn't simply edit the review, I deleted it a long time ago and made a new one!

It is working as intended.

Original post date will never change.

It was abused by users who kept on deleting and reposting them to stay the top of the most recent reviews.

When this was a thing? I also had one review that I wrote last week stuck in 2016, that is ridiculous.

I think there can be at least a cooldown for reposting reviews instead of forcing player to live in the empty white void past,

I officially give up on Steam reviews now.

Two dates are listed, the date of the original review and another under that for when it was last updated.

The games are not stuck at a date, but more information is provided for users who read the reviews.

Why does the date of your review matter? The content is still the same, and unless your wanting to keep it at the top of new reviews by constantly deleting and re-adding it its going to gone within a day or two as it is.

Of course it doesn't matter anymore. I'm done with writing reviews, as no one's ever going to see a review that was """"posted"""" 3 years ago.

So you want people to constantly delete their reviews and re-post them to make them more visible?

Because no one is digging that far into the past reviews to give you a community award for your review, which is what you really want. Right?

Oh, so the review posted date stopped changing when the community award became a thing?

I've been writing reviews long before the award thing because I enjoy sharing that one little thing that I like about the game. and rest assured I'm not interested in the awards.

Or am i? Mwahahaha!

No. Valve changed it long before the awards were a thing.

Yep, it was changed a long time ago because people would re-create their reviews every week. Your review counts just as much no matter when it was posted

Yep. They would also do it to reset down votes of the review, so now it all carries over. I think they were changed around the same time.
