Steam account auto logs out when I login to another PC under same network/Wifi
It's like this , I am logged in my desktop , but when i start steam and get into the same account under it , my PC steam shows "No Connection" at the bottom and when I start a game I can't log into that cause it says that steam account is not logged in . If I close and restart steam (on desktop) then on my laptop it shows that the Desktop is available for streaming. But it didn't use to be like this , I never had to restart steam to have streaming on / have steam logged into both PC. IP , DNS everything is same on both .

What Can be causing this ?

Perhaps you could just be a little less blunt next time.
I find that 'hijacking' is a rude word.

Do you start Steam with parameters, I. E. something for the ports? Start Steam by double clicking Steam.exe, does that changes things?

What you do is called "hijacking". If you don't want people to use a term describing what you're doing, don't do what the term describes.

That used to be the case... many years ago. You can log in on as many devices as you want; you just can't PLAY on more than one device.

I don't know what's worse , one guy posting his own problem in my thread or a bunch of other people yelling at him and no one remotely helping me ....

>"Start Steam by double clicking Steam.exe"

Such amazing advice , I always click 3 times instead of 2 times ....

i've contacted steam support about the same issue.

my thread: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/0/1736634311721774409/
other thread i found with same issue: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/1747893074679106238/

we probably need to keep pestering them, i just keep getting copy&paste generic replies and it's quite frustrating

why? my desktop PC is a beast, sometimes I AFK in games(it is a thing MANY people do, INCLUDING steam games) and forget I did so, then I go visit family and my laptop is signed out, despite it being two totally different games I am trying to play

this multi-play logout is just BS, if I own copies of multiple games I have the right to play one copy of EVERY game no matter how many computers need to be running steam to make it possible
sure, prevent online-mode steam instances from playing the same game, set a status that sets the active app-id and if any instances connected to your account are running a limited copy app-id it counts like you don't have it installed locally(even if you do) and it then shows steam remote play(I think it already does this)
so why does it try to log me out if I say play a copy of "Mindustry"(a HEAVILY SLOW and AFK REQUIRED game when waiting for next launch) and then try to run modded fallout 4 on another device? this is an instance where the forced logout is unacceptable

legally valve has no right to stop me from playing BOTH games at the same time, I paid for it and by US law I can play or personally modify the game in any way I choose and nobody can stop me legally(which steam is doing by logging me out as the DRM is critical to the steam copy

honestly I have basis for a lawsuit over this, you have no right to perform any action that reduces my legally protected right to play all these games at once, otherwise why the F*** does family sharing even exist? fix it yesterday
