It does not matter that you change to argentina if you will use gift cards. They change the currency to yours.

It does not matter that you change to argentina if you will use gift cards. They change the currency to yours.

Just remember they may get less depending on the current exchange rate from usd to Argentina currency. So if you gift them 50 usd they will only get 49.99 usd.

At the point when this thread was created (2020) it was still possible to send Steam Digital Gift Cards to Argentina.
This was disabled by Steam in 2021.
Currently its not possible to send Steam Digital Gift Cards to either Argentina or Turkey from ANY other country.

No. Gift Cards from other countries are disabled for Argentina.
You have to use a card with Argentinian Peso on it.
And those have been discontinued.

Well, cross country is fine if both countries have the same currency.
So you can for example redeem a German Steam Wallet card nearly everywhere in the EU because nearly every country uses the same currency, the EURO.

There are also a bunch of smaller countries that use USD as default on Steam because they dont have their own currency yet in the store.
Those countries can redeem US wallet cards since its also USD.

But if two store regions have different currencies i would say the answer is no, it wont work.
