Why is the term "Skidrow" censored on Steam?

I enjoy uploading screenshots of when I get nukes, a pristine achievement on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, but recently I've noticed that the term mentioned in the title of this post is censored for some reason. I am mentioning this because there is a map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer called "S k i d r o w", but spelled normally. What I do is note what map I got the nuke on as well as what gun and attachment I used so that I can save the images for memory, but this is directly interfering with my ability to do so. Please stop censoring the word "S k i d r o w" spelled normally in screenshots.
I know nothing will be done about this, but it felt good to write.

It was added to the whitelist ages ago. Near the beginning of the new forums.

All words on steam are censored for good reason, and you bypassing that filter multiple times in your post doesn't help anybody.

Censorship leads to curiosity.

People were posting about cracking games using the name. That is why it is whitelisted.

I understand, but if every word had some association with some nefarious group of individuals, are we to censor those words?

White list -> things to allow when everything else is restricted by default
Black list -> things to restrict when everything else is allowed by default

If the word is 99 % used in one way in a certain community, yes.

Torrent is a great way to share data between group members and often used in open source projects (before github and the like became as popular as they are now) and is often used in academia.
99 % someone mentions (and probably uses) it on the internet is for piracy.

Hitler is the signature cocktail of the ♥♥♥♥&Tail, a bar in South Africa. If someone says how awesome Hitler was ... it's probably not about the cocktail.

So all three are perfectly fine for moderation.

You don't seem to be very concerned with the homeless or 80s rock bands on the Steam forums. In fact, when another player said he wanted a game on Steam you suggested that he pretend to be homeless and beg for money on the street so he could buy it.
