Add a game to multiple categories at once?
Ok, so you buy a game, install it...and want to add it to multiple categories at once...is that possible?

I don't want chaos in my library so I have different categories. Games to check out, favs, different genres (about 10 of them), 2 player games, 3 player games and 4 player games.

When you buy something, the game is at the bottom of your list..then I add it to "sports" for example...but have to scroll up and find it...then add it to 2 player games, 3 player games, 4 player games and games to check out. ... or to roguelikes, 2 player games and favs...too tedioius.

when you make genre dividers they can appear across multiple genres, so you can already do that.

i guess you meant collections. categories do no longer "exist".

press that 4 square button to view all your collections.
then you just drag the game from the left list in every collection that you want it in.

The old UI could do it, easily.
It could also remove a category and add another one for a game in one go.

If you go into small mode, you can still do it the old way with the list of check-boxes.

You should be able to control+click all you want to before right clicking one.

Or shift click the 1st and last entry and right click any highlighted tool then, set category.

The question isn't adding multiple games to a category, it's adding multiple categories to a game.

@Gambit-3
And, yea the Small mode should do for "complicated" category management then.

Use creative name to catergorize your game catergories AC: Black Flag for example choose Pirate Island or Open world adventure, or Half Life choose legacy gaming or Fast paced action.

You can also still use the old method from the download page, right-clicking a game there brings up the old lists.

Well, after using Small mode to reorganise my collections yesterday, I switch back and realise there's a whole bunch of 0 game collections left over, which I have to manually delete, one by one. :chopyouup:
