Yes, they are an authorized reseller and i've bought from them in the past.

They are legit. You get a keycode you can enter into Steam to unlock the content you bought

the only ones who really know who is authorized or not is the publisher/developer.

so lets just say, they never had huge amount of issues that got into mainstream media.

in the end, you do not have any knowledge who is authorized or not, neither does isthereanydeal.com
but the site owner reacts to such events and removes problematic sellers.

I found them through isthereanydeal.com and they were ok.

It's on list "Approved digital distributors of Ubisoft games" http://support.ubisoft.com/en-US/Article/000079502

Yes, they are. All websites shown on isthereanydeal are legitimate. There are also stores not listed on the site that are legit as well though, but it's best to look into them a bit to see if they're a shady grey site or not.

Humblebundle, Fanatical, Wingamestore and Greenmangaming are all authorized resellers. There are a few others and isthereanydeal.com does a good job making sure they only link to authorized resellers.

I have just bought "surviving the aftermath" from wingamestore. All is good. "Add a Game". And then select "steam key".

Can Steam post a link to approved retailers, to remove this stress?

Look at the post before yours from JVC.
The isthereanydeal.com site collects all the legit resellers that are authorized to resell Steam keys.
If you shop with any of the stores listed there you wont have a problem.

Keep in mind that a smaller key reseller can start out as legit but be bought out by scammers without any notice. Still not a huge worry but look at these sites closely every time you use them.

Went to buy a game and they were sold of the keys. What kind of BS is that. I've never seen it before.

Even Humblebundle can run out of keys. Shops running out of keys has rarely happened for me -- but, if it's a popular game, I can certainly see it happen.
