Then your bank combined them and Valve can't do anything about it.
The only funds that you can't use are the ones that needed the verification.
The whole thing makes no sense as this offer absolutely no protection to steam nor myself!
You can still make purchases directly from the Steam store, just not the community market as Valve can revoke a purchase from the store, but doing so from the community market creates other issues.
Also if they want this extra protection for themselves then fine but then at least offer us some sort of support other than 'steam can do nothing about it'. It's really poor from steam....
If it has never been use on Steam and you did not verify it, then yes, they can still restrict it.
It is an automated system, so no, they can't do anything about it.
It is also there to protect people who's cards have been stolen, not just Steam. And if an item was purchased with a stolen card, then Valve would have to remove that money from the user who sold the item's account or revoke the game they purchased, in order to get the money back OR remove the items they also purchase from the market with the funds, effecting many other account aside from the one who's account originally added the funds.
1 if the card is in MY, ME, MINE name and address how can it be stolen?
2 I have used this card before but only once or twice
3 Therefore this is purely to protect them! Now I'm saying no problem that's fair but then change the system or upgrade it so that it also is much more user friendly and has some level of support! It's their automated system that they scripted therefore they can manipulate it as and when they please!
Jesus man it's not difficult to understand!
do you have a member of Steam/Valve's staff with you that you can show them the physical card in your possession and a state issued picture ID to prove that is yours? if not, how can Steam/Valve know for certain that is YOUR card? are they not allowed to take preventive measures to protect themselves and you to ensure the card is valid, active, and able to be used on their platform?
it's only 3 days. what do you possibly need to accomplish within the next three days that it can't wait until then?
*shudders at the sheer irony*
Also waiting three days means 0, I can contact my bank after 3 days and get a reversal ESPECIALLY if I use a credit card therefore your point is mute.
Finally I can wait three days no problem, I'm simply stating that this is unfair as they take the money straight away! Why don't they take the money in three days time then?
