Trading Card-drops
How long does it take for games to drop cards, if there is any remaining? Is it random or is there a maximum amount of waiting time?

otherwise default is 30 minutes between drops, product owner can modify that timer.

the games do not drop the cards, the Steam playtime you have on the game triggers the drops.
some devs go bonkers and set this to 2 hours per card because they fear damage because of refund policy or they wanna artificially generate playtime on their crap game. those devs are stupid, stop buying games from them.

I don't generally pay a whole lot of attention to this since I let a bot do the trading card stuff, but from my more recent games: "Planet Coaster" got all card drops in 2.9 hours for 3 cards, "Battle Chasers" took 4.8 hours for 7 cards etc. So, it shouldn't generally take too long.

Well I got about 6 hours in this game and not a card drop yet. (Writes there is 3 remaining.)
Game is "A Story about my Uncle", which I got for free here.

Looks like it's either a limited edition or I'm doing something wrong.

for free in jan 2019?

the only game generating playtime? running multiple games can mess with the drops.

If memory serves, I received cards without an excessively-large play-time requirement. I picked the title up when it was a freebie, as well.

Yes, I just got two card at once. Looks like it needed more waiting time.

Probably you need to be in-game and pause it. But waiting time can be a bit more than excepted.

I will also add I have seen one game which seemed to have things set so that you would get one card drop when closing the game.

Not sure if there was a hard minimum for time before getting the first one but I noticed I only had one drop after completing it in one sitting but each time I launched and closed it after that I got one even if I closed it right away.
