Having a SSD loads up the inventory page quicker?
OK, my inventory is about 892 pages big. All the while I have been using a conventional Hard Disc and whenever I try to find a specific item in my inventory, it takes about 10 minutes just to load to the appropriate page.

The question is, if I have a SSD, will finding a specific item in my inventory be quicker? Do I also need a fast CPU? What are the ways to find a specific item in my inventory quicker, given the size of my inventory? Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks for any helpful advise.

Nope.

It would be based on internet speeds and the servers. If a large amount of people are accessing their inventory at the same time, then it may take longer for the database to send the information and if you have a slow connection, it may take more time to receive it.

As the information is not stored locally, your hardware would have little to no effect on how quickly your Steam inventory loads.

A SSD will not help you with loading websites ( and that what the steam inventory is) faster.
Its depending on your internet connection speed and your RAM when loading so many pages.
Also the client ist not meant for loading such massive inventory lists and has a lot of problems with it.
When i still owned over 3000 games ( before clearing out my library) it took multiple minutes to load when i clicked on my full games list in the client.

Not much you can do to improve that.
BUT, a complete new Steam UI overhaul, including the client/library and store is planned for later this year.
The performance should be much better with that new client. At least its something they promised.

No, my inventory is slow whether using my archaic work computer or my home system. The only ways to fix it are to either liquidate most of your inventory or wait for them to improve things - at least it is better now than it was a couple of years ago when it was more or less unusable with more than a couple of thousand items (especially during the two major sales events)

The loading of your inventory is more network based. iTs not loading any assets locally so an SSD is going to provide minimal benefits. Note that also scripts like inventory helpers that scrape the pages and such are going to also extend load times dramatically
