REFUNDS FROM STEAM.

Just how long do steam need to refund money when downloads do not work. Gave download 2 hours . requested a refund now they are dragging heels. perhaps I need to contact visa. as steam do not give access to customer services unless its to take money from customers.

Downloads should work fine and if they are not; that could be down to your internet. Refunds can take up to 14 days to return to payment method once accepted.

What game are you trying to download and what seems to be the issue?

Refund requests can take a few hours to a few days (depending on how busy support is). If complaints about the new UI are being sent to support (shouldn't be as it is not something support deals with), it could cause a delay in refund requests.

The refund it's self, depends on how you asked for it. If it was for wallet funds, then 24 hours after refund is approved. If it was back to payment method, it can take up to 14 days for the refund to be reflectd on your statement.

If the refund was requested and approved the same day, then it will not show as a refund, but the charge will simply be removed from your account.

Game purchase was GTA 5 and megladone card bundle. If they can take funds and start a download instantly refunds should be done a lot quicker. Steam can call customers via phone number reg on accounts. Other companies are able to do this. mind you they do miss out on money earned while your money sits intheir accounts. Over 48 hours and the amount of customers im sure its not pennys. Might just go to visa and get instant refund. Not like this is the first time they have had this problem .

The cards are non refundable. If you purchased them in a bundle, the whole bundle is non-refundable.

If you initiate a chargeback, Steam will lock your account. As will every other service.

Money is removed from your acount quickly, yes, but your bank holds onto it for a while before Valve gets it. It can take up to two weeks before Valve can even see a peny of the purchase in their own accounts.

You will get the refund if you qualify for it. The rest is time between banks and not something that Valve can control.
