Steam Guard won't let me buy stuff from the market
Long story coming, just to clear everything.

I've had steam guard on my old phone for years, never had a problem with it. I hopped on steam market tonight, fishing for a cool new background to animate and shizz and I see a message on top that says "You haven't logged in to steam on your mobile for 7 days (got a new phone, didn't transfer steam guard because I felt like it was unnecessary, I'm using both) your account is restricted for 7 days"
I was like okay, I might as well transfer steam guard to my new phone and get rid of the restriction by adding funds to my steam wallet.

So I did that (not the proper way as steam is totally not straightforward when it comes to transferring steam guard from one phone to another) and then added 10 euros to my wallet.

All cool and stuff until I see a new message appear on top of my screen that says my account is restricted for 15 days because I removed my authenticator. Next to it "To remove this restriction..."
I hover over it and it says, quote on quote "You must enable steam guard on your account. Please ensure that your email is verified and you have logged in to steam twice after enabling steam guard."

I have my email verified, I legit just reenabled steam guard and I've also logged in like 10x on both web and the steam client and nothing happened.

It also says that I can buy off the market on a verified device (my old phone) but it just wouldn't let me, it says my account is restricted.

Do I really have to wait 15 days now or what? I did every step to remove the restriction and I still can't buy anything.

What am I supposed to do, please help me.

tl:dr Steam won't remove the restriction even after completing the steps

edit: missed a / lol

Yeah but why? I did every step, maybe you could explain it to me why I have to wait 2 weeks?

because you have to wait. once a cooldown is triggered, no one can remove it. not even steam support

it also allows the account owner time to recover the account if the account was stolen.

There's a 7 day wait when you change the device you use for Steam Guard unless you entered the code before the transfer. It's to prevent someone from getting control of someone's account if the account was compromised.

You transfer your Steamguard to a new phone the 1st time you seen the warning on the market? If so that to ensure account hijackers can't try to buy, or sell items right away, giving you time to reclaim account, that why it's there for everyone, can't bypass that at all sadly.

Since you removed your Steamguard that make things take even longer. So add your Steamguard on your new phone you wanted to used it on, and wait out your cooldown, just save the item name in a notepad, so when times comes, just search it up, and you can get it.

You guys miss the point. I appreciate the answers and much love for them but it says, as quoted above, I can remove the restriction. Why put it there if it won't do jackshizz? There must be a reason it's there and it clearly says I can remove it.
Thanks anyways

1. You must ensure steam guard enable...
2. Steam guard must be on the account for 15 days...
That's about it to buy from the Steam market.

This sounds like it refers to trade holds. Since you removed the authenticator, you now have trade holds again. Once you have the mobile authenticator set up for 15 days you can trade instantly using 2fa, assuming the other user also has no hold restriction.

no.
has nothing to do with holds, he has a restriction.
holds are not mentioned on the support page.
and he said, he removed steam guard entirely.

stop trying to make stuff more complicated then it is.
he waits. he even gets a time displayed when he can do stuff again.

all this nonsense is because he jumped on 3 words and ignored the others around them.

Noone here has answered my real question. Trust me, I've read the whole message like 50x. It says it can be removed. Such bs, remove that text

edit: Steam is misleading everyone, done with the thread thanks for the comments and the help, I'll wait the 15 ♥♥♥♥!ng days to spend my money again
